Cori Dyson, MD
EDUCATION
Cori Dyson began painting in 2015. She was mentored by renowned artist, Stefan Baumann and studied drawing under Mary Springer. Currently she is studying with Kelli Folsom.
She has taken every opportunity to learn from others in the art of painting including attending conferences, lectures, and demonstrations by several world renowned artists such as Kathleen Dunphy, Thomas Jefferson Kitts, David Leffel and Sherri McGraw.
SKILLS
Cori uses a systems-based organizations system to organize all business areas. She possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Business acumen and business owner for twelve years.
STYLE
Dyson works exclusively in oils and she paints in a representational style. Her primary subject matter is still life, but she enjoys landscape and plein air painting. She identifies a concept for each painting and then works towards painting that concept. Most of the time, this concept involves how light moves through a painting. Cori’s palette consists of twelve colors and lead white for studio paintings and three primaries and titanium white for plein air paintings.
FAMILY
Cori and her wife, Sarah, have been married since 2011. They live in Arkansas with several dogs and cats.
